Zion Chapel Coronavirus Update

We continue to watch as the Federal and State governments make daily Coronavirus updates. This week they made new recommendations for social distancing and limiting the size of gatherings. The new recommendations call for cancelling large group gatherings of 10 or more people. Romans 13:1 tells us to, “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.” This is why Zion Chapel will follow these guidelines to help protect our congregation. By doing so we are honoring God.

This means that until the Government removes these recommendations, we will make some changes to our Wednesday night Bible Studies and Sunday morning worship service.

  • We will not hold our Wednesday evening Bible Studies. This includes the large group and all small groups. Please, continue to read through and study the material.
  • Our Sunday morning worship service will be by live stream only. A small group will come together on Sunday morning to allow the stream to go out. This group includes a worship team, sound, projection and stream techs, as well as the pastor. Please continue with your Bible Reading Plan for Clear Vision 20/20.

You may view the live stream on our web page, YouTube, or Facebook. You can find us on YouTube and Facebook by searching for Peru Zion Chapel Church.

It is natural in times like this to become fearful. While encouraging Timothy, Paul told him that, “… God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7. God gives us the power to overcome the fear and the wisdom to get through it. Isaiah 41:10 tells us to, “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’” There is no better place to be than in the mighty hand of God.

God bless you all!
